What this is

Stitch Round collects free crochet patterns and sets them out one round to a line, with a checkbox on every round. There are eighteen of them here today: ten granny squares, four amigurumi, a thread doily, a cross scarf, a pumpkin pot cozy and a planet square the source filed under blankets.

The site did not design these patterns. Four of the eighteen point back at the publisher who put them out, and those pages link out. The other fourteen arrived with no source link, and their pages say so rather than letting you assume this site wrote them. If you published one of these, write to hello@stitchround.com.

No byline appears anywhere, and there is no author photograph. Nobody sat down and worked all eighteen of these, so a name at the top would be a lie. The pages belong to the site. The instructions belong to whoever wrote them, and where that is known the page says so.

What the counts mean

Across the eighteen patterns there are 286 rounds. 169 of them print the number the original write-up gave. A program counted 15 more off the stitch sequence, and the 7 pages holding one say so under the last round. The remaining 102 never had a number printed at all, and those rounds say that instead of showing a figure nobody checked.

What stays on this device

The rounds you tick, your stitch tally and the pattern you were last on are written to this browser's local storage under keys beginning sn.v1. They stay on this device. They are not sent anywhere, there is no account, and clearing your site data clears them. They will not appear on a second phone.

Short forms

Each pattern page carries the short-form list its own source printed, and a panel that opens from any short form inside the instructions. There is no general crochet glossary here and no hook conversion chart. Both are done better elsewhere, and copying one onto a site like this adds nothing.
