How patterns get here

A pattern arrives as text and photographs. The rounds are split one to a line with a checkbox on each, the stitch count is pulled out where the source printed one, the short-form list is kept exactly as the source wrote it, and the materials list is copied word for word. That is why some of them say "yarn of your choice" and why none of them names a yardage. Nothing is rewritten to sound better.

Four of the eighteen carry a link back to where they were published: Flamingo Amigurumi, Mini Pear Amigurumi, Mr. Pug Amigurumi and Pepe the Panda Amigurumi, all from mariskavos.nl. Those four pages link out at the bottom.

The other fourteen do not have a source link. That is a gap, and it is recorded on each of those pages rather than papered over.

Nothing on this site is generated. There are 91 image files in the library, holding 78 distinct photographs, and every one of them is a photograph of a real crocheted object. No illustration stands in for a finished piece.

Counts that were worked out

On 7 of the pages a number came off a program reading the stitch sequence, not off the original text. The 286 rounds here split three ways: 169 print the count the source gave, 15 were worked out, and 102 give no count at all. The three are kept apart on every page and in every total, so a worked-out number is never shown as one a designer printed. Those pages say which rounds are affected under the last round, and a derived count is worth checking on the hook as you go.

Videos

Some of the original write-ups offered footage the publisher filmed. A row that did so is dropped before the page is rendered, so no such offer and no link to one survives anywhere here: the reader is never sent after something this site cannot show. Stitch Round stores no video and shows none, and no element on any page starts by itself.
