About this pattern
This build turns a familiar amigurumi bear into a wearable bag, working legs and arms in short repeats before the body takes over. Legs run 3 rounds each, arms match at 3 rounds each, and the mouth and ears-and-eyes pieces each tick off in a single round. Counted piece by piece, the whole thing clears in a handful of quick rounds rather than one long slog, which makes it easy to pick up and set down between other projects.
- Build both legs separately, shaping each with a magic ring and increase round before working even.
- Join the finished legs and continue in one continuous round to begin the body without cutting yarn.
- Crochet both arms the same way as the legs, working the shaping rounds before finishing straight.
- Chain and single crochet a flat strip for the mouth, worked separately from the rest of the bear.
- Set aside the ears and eyes piece to attach later once every other part is finished.
What goes wrong
- Losing the join between the two legs Keep the working yarn attached to the second leg only and crochet directly into both legs to start the body. Cutting yarn here forces an extra seam that was never part of the plan.
- Gluing the face before the body is stuffed Finish stuffing and shaping the body first, then hot glue the belly, eyes, and eyebrows. Gluing early makes it hard to adjust stuffing without pulling pieces loose.

Finish
- Weave in every loose end left from the color change and from each separately worked piece before assembly.
- Stuff the legs, arms, and body firmly enough to hold the bear's shape once it hangs as a bag.
- Hot glue the belly, eyes, and eyebrows onto the body, then attach legs, arms, mouth, and ears in place.
Bigger or smaller
- Larger
- Move up to a heavier yarn weight and a larger hook, which makes every existing round sit bigger and produces a roomier bag without changing the stitch pattern.
- Smaller
- Drop to a lighter yarn and smaller hook so each round draws in tighter, shrinking legs, arms, and body together for a more compact bag.
Tally for this round
0
This is a plain tally. It does not know the pattern. With focus inside this box, the up and down arrow keys move it too.
The ticks, the tally and the round you reached live on this device only. No account, no upload, and nothing shows up on a second phone. Clearing site data clears all of it.

FAQs
Asked and answered
These answers came from whoever first published the pattern, kept word for word.
Can the legs and arms be made in different colors?
Yes, since each is worked as its own piece before joining. Swap in any yarn for the legs or arms without affecting the body's white-to-yellow color change.
What is the brown yarn used for?
It is reserved for the eyebrows, which get hot glued onto the finished face along with the eyes and belly. No brown appears anywhere else in the piece.
Does the body need a separate round count?
No, the body forms directly from the joined legs and continues in one round without a fixed round count of its own. It is shaped by the join and the color change rather than a set number of rounds.
Is a sewing needle needed for the mouth?
The mouth is worked in chain and single crochet as its own flat strip, then attached during assembly. A needle helps secure it neatly once the chain-and-single-crochet piece is complete.
